Hello and thank you for looking at my blog!

My name is Clare, I am 31 years old and I live in beautiful Dorset with my husband Pete and Jasper the cocker spaniel.

I work for a local authority as my day job (yes I know that sounds very dull - but its really not!) and when I am not at work I love nothing more than taking Jasper for a walk on the beach. For some reason everything seems right in the world when you are by the sea!

Why learn to sew?

Why not! I decided that I needed a hobby and thought long and hard about what I would like to do and arrived at sewing! I have also been well and truly inspired by the Great British Sewing Bee as I am sure millions of others have been and I think it will be reponsible for the Great British sewing revival - also Patrick's not to bad on the eye - especially in his well tailored suits!

My only experience of sewing ended when I was about 15 and decided to do cooking instead of textiles so I think I can safely say that at the moment I am a complete beginner.

My Blog

I have never really looked at blogs before never mind write one so its going to be a steep learning curve! I wanted somewhere that I could document my progress, and share any tips that I learn along the way.  Hopefully it will be of interest to anyone else who has decided to embark on a sewing adventure.
